I thought i would be a good idea for us to have a thread were we could add links and advice on what the next steps are - filling out forms, where to access them, the dates they need to be completed by, etc.

I'll start

I've applied for the student loan. You can too right now by going to http://www.studentfinance.direct.gov.uk/portal/page?_pageid=153,4680119&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL

It only takes about 10-15 minutes to do. The deadline dates that are stated on there at the moment for 2010/2011 application are: 23rd April 2010 for non-assessed claim and 25th June 2010 for assessed claims.
