Hello, please can someone help me! I am looking to start the DLC access course, which I understand has 60 credits. However, I need 240 points to get into Uni and I have 40 points from A level English. Will the DLC course make up the rest of the points or do I need to do another A-Level? Thanks, I have steam coming out of my ears from just trying to work this out let alone start a degree!:)

Re: PLEASE HELP! DLC Credits = ? UCAS Points?

hey hun, if you are a mature student, things are different.
you can do the access course to get you the educational criteria necessary for the course. it doesnt equate to ucas points.
contact your chosen unis and ask them if access is enough on its own, or if you need anything else.

    DLC and UCAS form

Does anyone know how you enter the DLC course onto the UCAS form. I filled out a "mock" form for the comms module and noticed that the DLC is not in the list of colleges. So what do you do? If I don't mention it on the form until the personal statement surely my application will just be written off because without the access course I don't meet the academic criteria?

    Thanks!

    Re: DLC and UCAS form

    Hi,

I am also with DLC. When I completed the ucas form last year I'm sure there was an option to just type it in, as it wasn't on the list.

    Hope this helps

Thanks Erin, the college bit is greyed out so you have to pick from the list. There is something on there called the Dustance Learning Centre. I'm wondering if that's it!!

When I filled mine in last year you could just type it in if it wasnt in the list.

I am doing DLC so am I applying as an idividual or through DLC.

Sorry if this is a really silly question.
