Really interesting, do we have a chart to show what the fontanalles/ landmarks would be present in each type of presentation? Growls was trying to describe how a particular lie felt and it would help me visualise it better??? if not I shall google until i can't google no more! xxxxx

    Thanks for this

Yes I was wondering this. Can anyone tell me what landmarks you are feeling that help you work out lie and position?

When I palpate I *think* I am OK with presentation, but I find the lie (longitudinal / transverse / oblique) tricky, and unless limbs are obvious (meaning an obvious posterior position), I find working out position difficult.

Also, I have been told (when I occasionally find myself on the antenatal ward - I am supposed to be on postnatal) to write up my palpation prior to commencing a CTG, even if the woman is only 26 weeks - I understand this but I am paranoid I'll write it up wrong, but at 26 weeks does it matter?
