    GCSE Certificates

    Hi all,

    I think I may have asked this before but can not find the thread so maybe I thought about asking but didn't actually ask (Sorry, what a waffle).

    I never collected my GCSE certificates when I finished school, I couldn't wait to leave the place and never went back to collect them. Do you know how to get replacements?

    Is it likely that you have to take your exam certificates to interview as after reading the AQA webpage I think it would be better to wait and get them to send it to the Uni if I got accepted??

    I had to take my GCSE certs to both my interviews.

    The one uni I got an offer at wouldn't update my UCAS to conditional untill I had sent them proof of the one GCSE cert that was missing.

    And it does take quite a long time for the certs to come through. xxx

    they do request your certificates yes, but ive always held off with the same idea as you - just order them if i get a place.. they've always been fine with it - ive just explained that i dont have them & would be ordering copies. Xx

    I have a bit of a problem here ladies.....I left school in the dark ages in 1986 and had to try and get my CSE papers from them. The school closed down and is now a Sikh College. Rung the local council who said there was no record of me. Any ideas of what to do? Do I have to provide them as a VERY mature student and am doing the Access to Midwifery this year?

    have u tried contacting your local exam board to see what they say - u should still be able to get copies.. ive listed the contact details on the first thread in this post - find which one covers your area & drop them a call or email. Xx

    Hi Ilithyia

    I don't know who the exam board is and wouldn't know how to find them. Do I still need to show them as I left school, it seems, about 250 years ago?
