Whilst it is helpful to have an idea of what to expect at interview it is grossly unfair to list all the questions you have been asked as it gives those who are interviewed after you an unfair advantage and those who were interviewed first an unfair disadvantage. Plus you are doing yourself a disservice, these people are your competition!

We have a thread where variations of generic interview questions can be found and revised. This is ample preparation.

Please can you ensure that entire lists of interview questions are not posted on the site.

It also creates a headache for Uni's who have to ask everyone the same set of questions - this way they cannot have a fair selection process.

The right people need to get the places for the right reasons.

    I hope you all understand.

    Good luck in your interviews

    J xx

If you see any posts in the forum that contravene the above rules, please use the 'Report Post' function (the tab that sits in the top right hand corner of every post) to alert staff so that the post can be removed from public view as soon as possible.

    Thank you for your co-operation.

Re: Giving out interview information :: The rules!

I put my interview testamonial on that thread and then put my questions seperately on the interview questions thread WITHOUT stating which university the questions were asked at... is that ok?

I suggest one or two questions could be offered in the thread but entire lists are inappropriate.

Everyone knows the kind of questions that will be asked but to state the uni and the list of questions in their entirety is not appropriate.

We want to be able to provide an overview not hand out 'seen' papers.

    Hope that helps.

I'm so glad you have introduced this new rule! I was getting fed up of people asking for interview information from people who had already had their interviews. It's really not fair.

Just one question....how is this rule going to be enforced? E.g. are any posts asking for interview information going to be deleted?

There were two main threads - interview questions and interview testomonials... these have now been edited to remove any other information than the intended purpose.

Also when we see people asking or given out information we remind them of the rules and delete posts as neccesary

Also can I remind people that if you see a post where someone is giving out information such interview help, questions etc especially if it mentions the university name or tutor name etc please click the 'report post' button on the right hand side so that staff can see it and deal with it

i am so glad this has been posted, i had someone pm me after my interview asking me for every little detail... needless to say i ignored it but i have also seen a post where someone gave a total breakdown of the day to help others and i thought it was really out of order to be honest!!
