As the title of thread states,

I was wondering if anybody has any experience of suffering the above....

I am in such a state and really do not where else to turn but to my smnet buddies for help/advice/chat?

As some may or may not know, i suffered a misscaraige 4 weeks ago yesturday, and things are just not right.

So i went to see an emergency g.p sunday to explain my problems. I have stopped bleeding nearly 2 weeks ago, no further discharge or discomfort when going to the loo, but i am in constant lower pain, back ache and front pelvic pain, with a feeling of somebody being inside my lower half (under belly button) who is pulling down on my insides. The g.p did an internal firstly with finger, then with speculum and tourch. She gave several diagnosis........a grade2 cystocele possible ectropion(inner cyst) and she could not feel ovaries so also thought my uterus was retroverted. I am uncomfy also as keep getting periods of constant discomfort of feeling need to unrinate, so i got, but feeling still there.

I really don't know where on teh forum to talk about this, but it has finally drove me over the edge and i have made the hard choice to take leave from my nursing course at least till september, so i start fresh with a new cohort and intake. But having researched the condition and possible treatments it seems to repeat over again about not lifting should be done if you have a diagnosed grade2 cystocele . Treatments vary from inserting support rings, to surgery to put the bladder back in place ect...So what if this means i will never be able to do the physical side of health care, or return to my nursing course.

I know I am being pre-term as it where, but i have 6 months to try and get my health sotred, and if it becomes clear nursing and midwifery is out, what on earth can i do?

    :'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(

thank you to all who read, sorry its so long winded, but i just need to talk about it somewhere where am not face to face and liable to kep breaking down intears which is what happened at uni this morning... xxxxxxxxxxx

I diagnosed one a few months ago

One of the girls I work with had one (and a rectocele) had surgery within the last few years (during her midwifery training I believe), hasn't stopped her

When you go for a wee put your finger inside and press up against the cystocele, it'll lift it back up temporarily and may allow you to empty your bladder properly, and if it's empty it may relieve that feeling

    Hi

I have been a typist in a gynae ward in the past and i have to say i typed a lot of letters re ladies's having cystocele's. They see to be quite common. In fact my mother in law is going in to hospital soon to have a cystocele and rectocele repair, she has tried the ring and shelf pessaries etc to no avail, hence the surgery.

The point of my post is to let you know that its not that uncommon, and i am sure your gynaecologist will sort you out, and hopefully it wont impact your life too much.

p.s i am sorry for your loss , I hope your being looked after.
