What wedding planner did you use?? Seriously considering it!

I love the idea of being able to work on the small details of the day for myself but on the day i want to be able to hand everything over to someone else so i don't have to worry about any hick ups and just enjoy my day!

I'm a 2013 bride too I can't wait. Found a venue and just need to finalise the booking.

I thought I'd started early but glad to see another 2013 bride who is ahead of me.

Have you chosen your dress yet? I've seen 2 I love but refusing to try anything on till after my dissertation is complete. Supposed to be a kind of bribe to myself to get my work done...

Also found my bridesmaid dresses, but not decided on how many i'll be having yet... need a minimum of 4 has the Mr has 3 groomsman and a Best man.

However i may end up with 5 as i'm feeling pushed into using his Sister....

Also got 3 Flower girls! and 2 page boys!!!! (MY WEDDING PARTY IS HUGE) lol

I'm getting married in Jamaica on new years eve :) can't wait :)

I've booked my photographer and booked the resort and wedding (11am on the beach) and I've started my wedding dress diet, but nothing else yet. I really want to start trying on wedding dresses but I've got so much weight to lose I don't know if there's any point yet :(

I tried one dress and I LOVED it....but I want to lose a couple of stone before any serious dress hunting. I dont want to spend loads on it though, I cant really justify it to myself! Around 5-600 would suit me well, skinflint that I am!
I only have my ring because I idly gogled custom rings and found a tremendous designer whose work has an organic feel.....I hope I love it as much as I think I will!!!
Purple Dragonfly, I went to one dress shop who would have sold me a dress there and then....and the next one, the lady pretty much said she would be terribly uncomfortable with any bride buying a dress 2 years in advance as shed be sure to change her mind- how true!! Think I might be going back there!!

    Hey all,

Glad your all enjoying the thread... And some great weddings to look forward to this year and next!!!

We started planning about 15 months in advance... Everyone said we were mad but actually Im now starting to enjoy the little bits and bobs (you know the exciting finishing touches).

Im getting married at a little church with a beautiful pond in front of it, and my reception venue is pangdean barn, and HUGE barn conversion complete with canapes, pimms, sit down meal and a hog roast in the evening! Were both getting very excited now...

I think the next few months are going to go really quickly with all these things going on... Applying for midwifery, job hunting, wedding planning and studying for SK277 (human biology) WOAH!

Good luck to you all :)

Im getting married in November or December this year and havent even started planning anything yet although we do have a lovely venue in mind which is a lovely manor house in Durham. What a fantastic idea to compare ideas for our big day :)
Is anyone thinking of having a theme? I would love to have a real snowy, wintery theme somthing all twinkly. xxx

Aw, HM!! I wanted a barn but I couldnt find one close enough- jealous!!!!:D Or what is it all the young ones are saying?? Well jell?? Heh! Sounds lush,we get hitched in november which should be okay, cos our venue overlooks at least 3 counties and the view is just stunning....so we should have some light to see it by!

My year is going to be quite busy too, HM. I'm also doing SK277 human bio. Horrible science - hurts my head!

We're also planning on buying a house this year as well as two cars and hopefully I'll get into uni! That's why we're getting married abroad. I don't think I could handle planning a big uk wedding on top of everything else! Lol.
