so you're meant to end your ps in an upbeat and sort of conclusiony way right?

well i've cut down my ps and now have a little space and have been reading through an it ends sort of without an end? it just stops.

any advice? or should i not really bother trying to sum it up?

    thank you :D

    xx

I found it a bit tricky to know how to end it appropriately, in my ps i ended with a general summary .... I am dedicated, hard working and motivated to achieve excellent levels of professional conduct and I have no doubt that I possess the staying power and passion to succeed in my aspiration of becoming a highly skilled midwife.

I think it should end with on a postive note, tell them how much you will enjoy studying midwifery and what you plan to do to be a fantastic midwife.

Bump! I'm having trouble with this too. Not helped by the fact that my PS is already 700 and odd characters too long! Good ideas so far - keep 'em coming! :) xx

I just summed mine up with an long sentence of...'Ultimately, my determination to succeed in a career to which I am truly dedicated blah blah blah' followed by a short sentence of 'i look forward to the challenges and responsibility that a career in midwifery will bring' :)

Try to say something a little bit different, you don't get many characters so be careful not to repeat yourself x

This is what I said, which I suppose in sales speak is a bit of a 'presumptive close'. I think it really helps to be confident though...

'Thank you for taking the time to consider how my application and skills match your requirements for this degree. I look forward to hearing from you with a date for interview. '

Good luck people, I don't envy you! I was dreading having to go through all this again but this year it seems lady luck is on my side.

    MM x
