I signed it already. It does my head in all this advertising. All they are advertising is a load of Devril.

They shouldn't be allowed to advertise it at all imo. I think of course give women leaflets on how to make up bottles e.t.c. but from the nhs rather than formula companies.
I hate some of the telly ads they just really get on my nerves.

That isn't a formula advert though - It's a brand logo. They don't only sell formula milk and I thought that it was only formula milk they're not allowed to advertise?

Sorry but I'm going to play devils advocate here!

    1) What they are providing is not dangerous and it is legal so why should they be penalised? They are a company wanting to advertise a product.

    2) women who make an informed choice to bottle feed over breastfeeding (or those who cannot breastfeed) may wish to see these adverts and it is important the information is out there for them so that they can make formula in the correct way and select the formula milk they feel is best for them and their baby.

Don't shout at me, I am deliberately trying to provide a different view point, sometimes this is a healthy thing.

1)There is research to show AF is actually hazardous to infants health. It increased the chances of a whole range of nasties. Fags are legal, but they aren't allowed to be advertised. Unhealthy foods can't be advertised during kids TV either(I think, or it will be soon).

2)Those women who have made an informed choice should certainly be able to access info about selecting and preparing a formula, but that is not the point of the adverts. The NHS could provide that as LMS says. These adverts aim to normalise and promote AF, they want to increase the number of people buying their product.
