    Hello, i am applying this year for the first time. im both nervous and excited. wondering who was applying with me, and if you live in london? I live in south devon :)

    Hiya, I applied to LSBU last year and got a interview but didn't get a place. Not applying this year though as they have moved the midwifery to southwark which is to far from me. But they are really lovely there. You have nothing to worry about they are really supportive and make you feel as ease. There English and Maths tests before the interview is easy too.

    i am applying but i live in Devon, whats the area like around the uni, is it a nice area, i am going up in a few weeks to drop a friend off for her first year of the same course and she said she's looking forward to moving but i enjoy days out to London and would like to know the area!!xx :)

    i dont really know the area where the campus is but one of the hospitals they use for placements is whipps cross thats where i live in leytonstone.

    would you consider that a good place to do placements at because i have been told to look into all the hospitals that each uni i apply to, do placements at and then tell the uni's at the interviews if i get them, as they want to know that you have researched the area and the uni as it shows an interest!!xx :p ;)

    i have meet a few sm doing placement at whipps and they seem to be liking it i think the hospital is ok had both my children there and have nothing to complain about one of the other hospitals they use queens in romford their maternity unit is currently under investigation so i hear

    plus i think they give you your placement by which hospital is cloest to where you live

    oh ok, whipps sounds good, i think that they give you one thats closest to where you live but ask you for the next best option if that one is full when you are doing placement :)
