I wonder if anyone on here can point me in the right direction.

We have been given an hypothetical case study discussing potential litagation cases.

    Ours briefly is:
A woman in 1979 attended delivery suite with SROM, abdomial palpation was cephalic. Presenting part was 3/5th palpable. No VE was performed at the time.
The presentation was an undiagnosed breech and a cord prolaspe occured later resulting in cerebal palsy.
The woman argues that a VE shoud have been preformed.
Therefore I am searching for any guidelines or anybody with any knowledge around how SROM was managed in 1979?

Any help would be really appreciated. Thank You.
