    Who here will be going to Manchester in 2012 then? I thought it would be good to have a seperate thread from the huuuuuge one about applications, to get to know each other :)

    Hi
    I have an offer from Manchester and am going to be a student midwife yay! Have you sent in your second reference yet? I am waiting until after Christmas now to ask my volunteering supervisor to do me a reference as she is off for 2 weeks. I am a a mature student with 3 children, at the interview I went to I was a bit worried as it seemed to be mainly 18 year olds! Hope I don't feel really old when I start lol.

    aye, I emailed them about it (asking what kind of reference it should be, character or work related etc) and apparently they only ask the older students to provide one. Grr, I'm jealous, I want that pack haha.

    My employer has *said* that she'll do it for me, but knowing her that could be in February 2034! A gentle nudge is needed I feel...

    And don't worry babybop, I'm a bit older too :) I think there'll be a good cross section of ages!

    Haha Yes I want the pack too! I think it will take a while to get my reference to them too, what did they say when you asked what type of reference they wanted? It's going to be a long wait till September 2012 lol xx

    A mix of everything really! Just to ensure we're of good character, dedicated etc etc :) I seriously can't wait. I keep going on their website re-watching the student profiles and everything haha
