Mentor problems

    I would bring this up at the meeting hun as if you have passed then its just that a Pass! From what it says on there you should have been told you had failed if they thought that was the case!

    It seems that the communication from your mentor/tutor is a bit unclear so I would ask for written conformation that you have passed and then once you have it question why you have to repeat the placement x

    I would think of it more as having another opportunity to enhance your skills. Not every midwife is a good mentor and some don't teach you very much which is unfair but if the uni are giving you another placement and hopefully a better mentor I would seize this as an opportunity to develop which will in turn give you more confidence.

    Iris is right about it being an opportunity to learn loads more skills. Sounds great you have passed but also sucks to have a few 7's I'm sure once you sit down with the tutors you'll feel better about the situation. Hope your meeting goes well and good luck in getting your 8's or higher ;) x

    i only e-mailed the tutor yesterday and haven'theard as yet when the meeting will be but i beleive the tutor is on annual leave till we return to univerisity on monday
