    'Midwives' is on BBC Alba every Friday at 8.30pm and repeated on Sundays at 8.30pm.

    It is a documentary following midwives and student midwives in a hospital in the Highlands.

    A 5 part series which begun last friday...I imagine it will be on iplayer too.

    Is it in Gaelic? Someone text me about this and I forgot to record it...I mean I know not all the Midwives/students and Mums won't be speaking Gaelic but BBC Alba is a Gaelic channel?

    Some people featured speak in gaelic and the narrator speaks in gaelic to which there is english subtitles and the rest is in english :)

    I've just watched a bit of this as link was on our uni facebook group, will definitely be watching this fully tomorrow, especially as I hope to be living and hopefully working in the Highlands within the 7 years maximum so may well end up working in inverness, my other option is on Skye. xxx

    SMNET Staff Past Quiz Winner
    this programme is a pain to watch. Boyfriend found it and kindly put it on iplayer for me but I cannot watch it. I don't mind watching foreign shows and reading subtitles but it does my head in keep going back to English and then back to foreign again every few minutes. I actually though it was Dutch when He first put it on lol
