Superpob stop stressing - you have the golden ticket as well remember!

I am so paranoid about my personal statement, don't think any of us feel 100% until we get an interview!

I don't think anyone on here is arrogant enough to say theirs is 100%. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I know just like everyone else as soon as I push that button I know I will think of sumat profound I wanted to put in but it's too late.

We can only do the best we can with the life/experiences we have

It's weird, I swing from being excited to terrified. I find the bit after interview a whole lot worse though. You over analyse everything you've said and thats it nothing more you can do!

Re: Personal Statement Shortlist / scoring

I imagine each one will have different criteria that would be very closely guarded...otherwise you could cheat and just write what they wanted to hear in a sense.

I think some do it on a 'score' basis and others just select ones that stand out.

Try not to worry too much about these details, not much we can do even with the knowledge of what score goes through and what doesn't.

I guess they have a list of qualities/skills etc they want to see and go through your ps to look for eveidence of it. Main thing to do is make sure your ps is very well rounded.

I have never applyed before so its hard for me to comment, but my PS includes all the things that the advice on here says to put, so fingers crossed :)

Re: Personal Statement Shortlist / scoring

I know that one I applied to scored out of 25 (don't know the specific criteria) and another scored out of 75 - one I did well and the other I didn't, so not only were they different marking systems they were also looking for different things within those! I scored 23 out of 25, and only 29 out of 75! Go figure :)
