    Hi all,
hope everyone is ok and not too frazzled from the demands of the course :). I was wondering if someone can help me out im currently on maternity leave after haing my daughter who is 6 months old. I have been slowly doing my poor neglected portfolio and have got it all neat and in order but I have a list as long as my arm of what I want to put in it reflection wise the only thing is which models are best for these specific areas:-

    1) Placement reflection
    2) Module reflection
    3)End of year reflection

I have used Gibbs for my case study reflections which I have found has worked well but I cant seem to relate that to the ones above. HELP!!!!

    Sorry for the ramble

If you google models of reflection there are quite a few! Just have a look through and see which one fits best. Or else get a study skills book specifically for nursing /midwifery they usually have a lot of info in them regarding reflection. Good luck

I also use the Driscoll model of reflection. Below is my template I use. Hope you find it helpful

    What? Returning to the situation
What is the purpose of the situation?
    What exactly occurred?
    What was your reaction?
What did other people do e.g. colleague, patient, relative?
What do you see as key aspects of this situation?

    So What? Understanding the context
What were you feeling at the time?
What are you feeling now? Are there any differences and if so why?
What are the effects of what you did/did not do?
What good emerged from the situation e.g. for self, others?

    Now What? Modifying future outcomes
What are the implications for you?
What are you going to do about the situation?
What might you do differently if faced with a similar situation again?
