I finished 'Room' last week by Emma Donoghue. Really different to anything I've ever read and very, very moving.

Ask at your local library Babooshca; there are often several groups. Or start up your own! My group is a bunch of friends and our group's been going about six years. I love it - we meet in someone's house each month and have wine and lovely food!

I promised myself I'd read Salman Rushdie's 'Midnight's Children' last year, anyway I never did, but I've got the audiobook now and I'm loving it. It's fabulous and the guy reading is doing a fantastic job of bringing all the characters to life with his vocal acrobatics.

Just started Mice. Been so tired I have only managed one chapter each night before bed, and they are really short chapters, but I am very intrigued.

Also, would not have realised that the author was male, he's very convincing as a teenage girl so far.

I was GUTTED to finish this today, loved it. I read it in a few days and grudged putting it down. First non midwifery related book I've read in 2+ years, very much enjoying expanding my reading list as I only ever used to read crime thrillers and horror, and hated trying new authors.

I didn't realise The Help was getting made into a film. I've read the sample and can't wait to get the full version. Can't justify the 4quid as I've went a bit nuts on books this week :/ Strange but good reading in her strong accent :D
