I am trying to do a reflection on a teaching presentation I did to first year student midwives. I am ok with using a model but what I am struggling with is the analysis part. I know I have to look at what I thought went well/not so well etc etc but not sure how or what I reference. Normally in clinical practice I would research the specific topic I was reflecting on ie. vaginal exams and look at specific practice issues but with the teaching presentation am not sure where I am going.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Maybe you could research teaching styles? Use the sort of style that you feel works best or is recommended for optimum learning?

    Effective communication?

    Group dynamics?

I was thinking about teaching/learning styles but hadn't thought of communication which is actually key to a teaching session!! So I could link it all back to teaching model and learning styles and why I chose to include what I did and look at why it worked/didn't work well because of how people interact and learning differently?

Group dynamics I have no idea but will have a little look at that too.

    Thanks hun :)

Sounds like you've got it hun! Go you :)

With dynamics I just meant the type of people or different learners in the group affects how you teach and how they learn :) xx
