nasher, I emailed the accommodation people yesterday and they got back to me today saying that they could offer me a contract from 25th June to 16th September and then I'd have to apply again in the next few months for a contract from September onwards. Seems fair enough.

Deposit £200 and they also want first month's rent before we move in which will be £370.

This is for John Lester and Eddie Colman courts which are managed by a separate company to the University, Campus Living Villages. The uni passed my email onto them. Castle Irwell is managed by the Uni, so if you want to live there then just email the accommodation office and I'm sure they'll give you the specific info for their buildings.

I've not heard anything. It takes forever doesn't it!!!

When did we have to accept by, 20th? Maybe we'll hear something after that. Wonder why they give us so long to decide whether we want it or not, I was straight onto emailing them lol!

i know i emailed them straight away too *checks sent items* lol i spoke to a girl in my uni today who also had an interview, she had rang salford as she has not had a decision yet and they told her they hadnt made a decision yet but she would hear something in the post next week, im wondering if they are waiting to see who accepts then if people dont they will offer the places out again....

....i still cant decide what to do about accomidation :/ .....

I'm definitely moving to halls, I've sent my details to the Campus Living Villages people and I'm just waiting for them to send me the contract etc.

I've applied for a 2 bed flat, it was £30 more expensive per month but I'd much rather share a bathroom and kitchen with one person than more lol when I lived in a student place in my 2nd year there were 4 of us and it was always me who ended up cleaning the house! That was putting me off living in halls but it would be so much easier, all inclusive of bills, free parking, no council tax... lol. Might as well take advantage while I still can!

White tunic with green salford logo on it. Think it has gray epaulettes on shoulder (if that's what they r called lol) xx
