Thank you BHB, at least the postman is safe (for now) and we can try to relax a bit. Thank you to your friend too for the detective work :D

I live 20 mins on the tram from uni and about the same from the jessop wing, which is on the bus (I work there now) the other units are further away, with rotherhaj been the closest and about 1hr door to door train commute x

Thanks for the info about interviews. I'll ask my friend who works in admissions in the department closer to the time. She was under the impression that the letters had been sent but she must have got confused with another course or something.

In terms of how far I'd be willing to travel... well at the moment Collegiate is a 4 minute walk from my house but I'm moving up the road next month so then it will be a ten minute walk! But I've also applied to Nottingham and Huddersfield so if I don't get into Hallam I'll be commuting there. My friend currently commutes from Chapeltown to Hudds and it takes about an hour and a bit so I'll be giving myself two hours to get there. For Nottingham I'll give myself two and a half hours.

With the experience thing - they totally understand how difficult it is to get experience in a specifically maternity setting so they'll generally accept any kind of care based experience. Personally I volunteer at Children's Centres and toddlers group plus I've done the Pregnancy and Early Years Health Champion course (last year my placement was breastfeeding support at groups, this year I've got safe sleep promotion one on one at midwife drop in clinics) and I've done the volunteer doula course.

New update: Was talking with my detective friend and another friend earlier when the "non-detective" had a rejection email come through. She's genuinely distraught.
So don't be surprised if a few more rejections appear. I keep checking my email but don't really want to look.
