MCA comes in with ergometrine and second midwife. Bleeding seems to have slowed and uterus remains well contracted, therefore ergometrine not given. BP checked by second midwife 80/40, P 88, move bed to her and get her on it, check BP every 5 minutes it recovers well.
By 4.30 BP 130/75, P 80, Temp 37.2, uterus w/c, lochia moderate. Mum and baby both well.

very interesting about the placenta, will have a look at the link. What was the EBL? Her bp has recovered well, would you be concerned at all by the slightly raised temperature? Do mums tend to stay overnight where they are, I think I would like to keep an eye on her for a bit longer to keep an eye on her pulse, bp and temp and Lochia. Maybe she could do with some pain relief, might settle the temp and pulse or though not worrying. I would want to take a FBC to check her hb in case she needs to go home on iron tablets. Check that she feels ok about the birth and that she isn't distressed about feeling faint etc

Yes ergometrine can make you feel sick (it's part of syntometrine)

EBL in total was around 600mls, she did stay overnight and went home in the afternoon I think
