    Sometimes I think it depends on how confident the obstetrician is, some are more twitchy than others - and what had happened recently, sounds bad but if they'd recently had a fresh SB or a very compromised mother or baby from an abruption they'll be far more cautious

    With Megans case aside from the initial gush (which the obstetrican hadnt seen although I did take pad and underwear with me for him to see) it was more a trickle so maybe they were happier to wait? I think part of the reasoning behind the syntocinon was it was a make or break situation, if the baby hadn't coped with the syntocinon they would have gone to section for fetal distress rather than a baby getting slowly compromised

    Yes, i agree with still going for a normal birth... im just not sure i would of agreed to give the synto as the midwife, would make me very twitchy x
