Hello everyone!! Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine! :icecream:

We're hoping to implement a buddy scheme for all the SMNET Nurses on here. The main aim of the scheme would be for new students and wannabes to 'buddy up' with current students or registered nurses to get an idea of what to expect during their training, information about research sources of evidence, discuss clinical matters and generally have someone to chat to about the ups and downs of nursing studies.

Mrsrobbiewilliams will be helping me out with the scheme, and we're just trying to get a list together at the moment of interested people so that we can hopefully get some buddying sorted.

If you're interested, could you PM me or MrsRW, or post in here, and let us know:-

Where you are in your nursing journey
What university you're at / hoping to go to / have attended
What branch you're studying / working in / hoping to study
What sort of areas you hope to specialise in (if you've got any ideas about that)
If you're a current student / qualified nurse; whether you'd be happy to act as a Mentor

Look forward to getting lots of you on board, and making the SMNET Nurse Buddy Scheme a huge success!! Please give me a shout if you have any questions about it, or if you have any suggestions.

We'll give it a week or so to get a list together, and will then start buddying some people up. Mentors will get a special SMNET Nurse certificate to put in their portfolio!

    Thanks all!! xx :bighug:
