Hi All,


Well, the questions have been marked, the marks counted up, so here we are with the results of the last quiz of 2011. We had a bumper crop of entries - with lots of people keen to test their knowledge, or just to come along to the learning zone for fun and chat.


Thanks go as ever to the folks at Elsevier for supporting us in our quiz and providing the prizes, and to our fabulous staff team who were this month Noo, MrsSkip, Wozza, Iolaus, Upsy Daisy, Curly, and Butterfly


One of the things I love about the quiz was summed up by one of the entrants this month - "I learned things and I found that I knew stuff". I love this - that's what the quiz is all about, building both knowledge and confidence, as well as getting to know each other better and having fun.



Right, onto the results...


We had two members this month who both scored 38 points - these were Arwenevenstar and Penguin. Their entries were both remarked and they could still not be seperated, so we will combine the first and second place prizes, so each of them will take a whopping £85 of Elsevier books, along with the quiz winners trophy for a month.


In third place, again we had joint scores - eek! Mumkey and Sammywoo both scored a fabulous 37 points and will share the 3rd place prize of £30 in books (so £15 each), along with the quiz runner up trophy for a month..

Our next quiz will be on Wednesday 4th January, when the topic will be Community Midwifery. Everyone is welcome to come along and give it a go - or just pop into the Learning Zone for a chat - bring your own wine and nibbles!
