I emailed two and left messages but there are some application forms at one of my local hospitals so printed them off today to fill in post. spoke to a friend that works at the hospital and she said they only really acknowledge volunteering applications this way :) x

if anyone can help that would be lovely :)
so im really really enjoying my place, they are all so nice and even treated me to lunch on getting a place at uni. I know this sounds silly but i really dont know how to interact with small children, im so rubbish at it! I have never had any younger brothers, sisters, nieces or nephews so i just dont know what to do. And i sometimes feel that because im not a proper member of staff that parents will feel awkward or disapproving of me interacting with their child and i feel like im not supposed to. eurghhhh :( xx

That's great and how nice they treated you to lunch ! Im sure your fab with kids! Show lots of interest in what they are doing, there toys what they are showing you, etc etcive got two your very welcome to practice with hahah !!

I've heard home start are very good, I will look into it. I think experience wise as your offering young families support there would be much to talk about in personal statement and interview stage.

I'm sending off some paper work to local hospital for volunteering and I have my access interview and presentation tomorrow so looking forwards to that. I have decided not to apply for sep 13 intake as my youngest still small so going to throw myself into access come sep and then spend time building up work experience. My theory is, come the time in ready to apply my app will be so strong they can't say no !!xx
