Our e-learning resources series are written by me based on my experience as a student midwife, HR manager, employment law consultant and director of SMNET! Its the easiest way for me to help as many of you as possible, as its like downloading me into your computer!

The SMNET e-learning series covers everything from applying to preparing for uni and placement.

As a student midwife (or soon to be!) I would like to direct you to the following e-resources that will help you on your journey from student to midwife! They are all available to download immediately!

Midwifery Study Guide This is great to see how you will be studying midwifery at degree level, it covers how you will be assessed and what you will be expected to do! Its full of guidance, top tips and essential information from assignments and presentations to PBL and OSCE's!

Birth Register & Guided Reflections, Every student must have a birth register! The first time you write down your first catch in your register is an amazing feeling! In addition to the register this e-learning resource also guides you through reflective practice, which is an essential aspect of training to be a midwife and indeed to stay being a midwife!

Getting Familiar with Midwifery workbook 1 Is a fab guide that encourages you to actively learn some of the basics in midwifery and get familiar with many of the topics you will be studying. Get ahead of your cohort and impress your new lecturers!

Getting Familiar with Clinical Midwifery Is a great guide to some of the basics in clinical midwifery, its a good way to get familiar with clinical matters such as the Menstrual Cycle & Conception • Fetal Development • Anatomy & Physiology • Health in Pregnancy • Antenatal Screening • Antenatal Care • Start of Labour • Low Risk Labour • Postnatal Care

....and now Preparing for University & Placement! Coming soon!

We also have a free Rewards and Promises cheque book that you can use to keep your work/life balance in check! Great for busy student midwives with boyfriends, husbands, kids and best pals to keep happy (and to get them to leave you alone when you need to study!!).

Many of our e-learning materials are free, some you pay a small fee for, these fee's are what help keep us trucking along so you are helping SMNET while we help you, win win!

Don't forget our essential free Guideline for Participation for Conduct Online - keeping you and your place at Uni safe and within the Nursing and Midwifery rules and guidelines!
