    Hi Ladies,

Has anyone on here successfully transferred to another university?
I started September 2011 and really want to move to Edge Hill. There are reasons for this, which i'm not going to delve into right now.
I did have an unconditional from them last year, but i chose another university. (not sure if this would help as i have been through their interview process and been deemed suitable to be offered a place before)

Just looking for a a bit of guidance about how i would go about this...

    Thanks

    x

hiya hun, welcome to the forum :)

it depends a lot on the uni's & your reasons for doing it. because most uni's work to their own structures, it can be very difficult to transfer mid-course which is why you'll find that a lot of uni's discourage it even when there are exceptional circumstances. it also depends how far in the course you are, whether the uni you want to transfer to has any space etc. i'd suggest getting in touch with the uni's you would like to apply to & see what their stance is - if they would be willing to accept a transfer then there will be appropriate channels to follow which they will be able to advise you on. Xx

Think you may have to go through UCAS too but put year 2 as point of entry. Also if its a big move eg Plymouth to Edge Hill think that is more likely than say Salford to Edge Hill as they are both local. Hope that helps x

I would talk to the universities direct - it's the only way you'll know for sure.
