Sorry not being on in a while! I applied at Leeds- U, Bradford-U, Sheffield-U, Salford and York- still waiting for replies. I'm holding out hope! But, if they are all U's without inteviews then I'd like to tweak my Ucas in Extra and maybe apply for a nursing course, and then go in to midwifery following that? Or do an access course. I'm all muddled up. Hope you are well! Have you heard back from any of your choices yet? Xx

Definitely get feedback from them and reapply through extra, you're super passionate about midwifery and I can't believe you've had Us. As for York I'd definitely say no news is good news.

I'm just waiting on York and Sheffield now xx

Were your other three U's? It's disheartening isn't it :(
I hope you are right about the no news- good news.
I hope it's the same for York and Sheffield for you too! I got a U from Sheffield like 2 weeks ago, so maybe it's a good sign you haven't heard from them yet ! :) Xx

I've got interviews at Hudd in 2 weeks' time and Notts in Jan, Bradford have got me on the shortlist but I'm trying not to get excited as they've said you're not guaranteed an interview just because you're shortlisted. I'm so nervous. What about Hudds will you apply there through extra or is it harder for you to get there? Xx

Oh wonderful!! That all sounds really exciting! I'm so happy for you that you were given inteviews! Good luck! :)
I contacted Huddersfield before applying ( that is where I did my first degree) and they told me I didn't have the correct entry requirements and would need an access course before applying with them. Xx

Hey Squiress! Is it a good thing if York haven't been in touch yet? Are they still making decisions? Or am I clutching at straws? I sent off my application in early September ( like the day it was open on Ucas ha) and still haven't heard anything. I do not have A levels in science, no qualifications in science, but lots of qualifications in different kind of health care, like administrating medication, nutrition and health and lots of experience with soon-to-be mums and breast feeding mothers. I also have a previous degree. I'm really hoping York give me an interview, as I have been given U's for 3 other universities ( although if they declined then I'm guessing other uni's will too, I don't think it's common to get unsuccessful from 3 institutes and an opportunity from one?) Hope you are well! x
