    I was in the first ever direct entry cohort at my uni - I don't think I lacked anything when qualifying so I don't think you can blame it on being the second cohort

    Not sure what ANTT is so can't answer that but we had lecturers on all obstetric emergencies in our second/third year, OSCEs in second and third year. Quite a lot of EBL which may have taken the form of case studies on occasion

    My OSCE notes are on the site, it was us being given a scenario (ie you are called in as second midwife to Sally, a woman in spontaneous labour at 41 weeks, there has been some fetal distress on the CTG, baby delivers and is pale and floppy - so you did neonatal resus and when you did the inflation breaths you'd say 'I'd check for the heartbeat' and they'd tell you what it was, so you decide to go onto full blown CPR or just ventilation breaths.
    Then got questioned afterwards 'you said you called for help - who did you want? whats the difference between primary and secondary apnea? have you heard of any contraversial issues surrounding resus'
