And I am also a member in the PCOS club. Did not find out until we decided to have children. I was 34. Have always had irregular periodes but rarely heavy ones. went for a rutine check about 6 mnts after giving up the pill. My gynaeocologist did her normal internal UL.scan and discovered the "cauliflower" on my ovari. That explained my horrible acnes at the back of my ears and the weight gain. I started with acupuncture treatment to get pregnant and 3 months (and loads of money) later I was expecting our first child. I fell surprisingly quick pregnant again with our second child (18 months between them). There was no trace of PCOS 3 years ago and had a Mirena coil put in. I have not had a period since. I have a feeling my dear PCOS have returned and should probably see a doctor again.

Hi I'm also in your gang I don't have the period problem as I have the marina coil and I don't have them anyway. My main problem is excess body hair. It is getting worse and worse as i'm too ashamed to get it proffesionally sorted so I just pluck or shave. I have really bad hair on stomach and chest which I have to pluck all the time also hair on my neck. Also skin tags under my arms makes it a bit awkward shaving as i'm scared i will shave them.

TallPoppy- is that u in the photo? If so you are gorgeous (don't worry i'm female and married) It's a amazing photo!

I am a curvy gal too..........built for comfort not speed!! The hairy thing gets me down. Does electrolysis hurt?? Have been going for waxing for years but feel that it is to blame for some of the quick regrowth. I am always conscious of having a "scooby doo" chin .

lol

Electrolyisis is painful but youve had kids so, you know pain lol its not really bad a bit like a nettle sting but it goes away really quick and the results are worth it. One day youll wake up and not have to check your chin and thats a great day believe me! Your confidence will grow and you'll feel less self conscious about it.

Id recommend it to anyone with PCOS, its cheap with quick results but go to one whose registered and has a good rep xx
