Default Where is your favourite place to visit?

I have two favourite places, one is Cornwall in the south of England, I spent many happy hours there on holiday as a child, and I love the place. I hope to be able to go back there one day to see how much has changed.

The other place I love is Paris, I spent a week there in 2005 and I really enjoyed it, there are some lovely places to visit such as Notre Dame and the Sacre Coeur (sp?) I also loved walking along the banks of the river Siene. I would also like to go back there one day to see the some more, as there are lots of places I didn't have time to see.

Banbury... Not necessarily cos its a brilliantly entertaining place but my mum, brothers and sister and nanna lives there! I always get to do bugger all when I'm down there and can relax a bit! Don't really go anywhere else, i use all my annual leave to see my mum!

I lived in Jersey or 7 years, I would love to return for a holiday, it's very beautiful, especially in the summer. I had many a happy day there...

I love the south west too, Devon is stunning, Cornwall too. I spent three weeks in Somerset trying out for a job at a yard, the scenery was amazing. Beautiful riding country, but the care of the horses was pants, so didn't stay.

Wales was fab too. We went to Prestatyn, but drove to Snowdonia and went on the train thingie, fabulous scenery..just gorgeous. Anglesey too.

Haven't been abroad much, Amsterdam was fab. We went to see Robbie Williams there, great fun.

Went to France alot when I was in Jersey as it's only 7 miles away. Visited St Malo and a really idyllic small french village called Dinan, definately my favourite place in Europe so far.

Over here though, the place that tops it all would have to be the New Forest, my ideal, full of ponies and stunning landscapes. The villages I loved, shame I would love to live there, but it will probably be too expensive...

I love Devon and Somerset... the more remote the better! Every year we rent a cottage in the middle of nowhere and have a fab 2 week family holiday!

I also love Disney and Florida... we got married in Disneyworld and had a fab 3 weeks there. We spent 2 weeks in Disney itself and the 3rd week relaxing in a villa by the coast and doing pretty much nothing! Came crashing back down to earth when we had to come back to dreary Blighty though... took about 6mths to get back to accepting reality! Loved it so much that we actually went house hunting and job hunting while we were on holiday!

When I win the lottery I plan on buying a house in Devon for the summer months and a 2nd home in Florida for the winter months! (yeah like thats ever gonna happen... we all have to have dreams!)

I know this thread was from a while ago but i thought i would clarify things. I live on the Isle of Wight and the place i think you are talking about is called Blackgang chine. Do you both still visit?
