All very alien sweeties to me but then I wasn't here when I was little. I did like chappies when I was little - horrible gum but the wrapper used to have jokes on them.

cola pips, sherbet flying saucers and sasperella tablets (if thats how you spell it)... gold bullion bars and proper midget gems (the ones where the black ones were liquorice - i bought a whole box once on ebay.

Love most sweets! My favourites are:

sherbet lemons and strawberries,
yorkshire mix - though I have a funny reaction to pear drops which my hubby think is really amusing... I start coughing and spluttering all over the place and really don't think I should eat them but they are SOOOOO nice!
flying saucers, cola cubes, any kind of sherbet/american cream soda,

I actually had love hearts that said 'just married' as wedding favours!
