Well yesterday my sister came to see me from Leeds (well she was in london for bank holiday so came down to see me) was really nice seeing her, but shes a strong northern lass and isnt afraid to speak her mind. To cut a long story short my OH's sister and brother in law came over to have dinner with us (me him his mum and my sister)
Now my sister was joking around and being quite loud as she does and the brother in law (being foreign obviously didnt think women should be acting like this...his thinking being the whole the woman does what the man tells her too rubbish!!!)
Anyway him and my OH sat watching footy while all us girlies sat in kitchen being pampered by my sister with manicures and pedicures (she trained as a beautician before going into working with a deafblind household of ladies)
Anyway just before the OHs sister and brother in law left I could tell the brother in law was getting irritated and my sister could tell he had taken an instant dislike so was winding him up and saying to OHs sister 'oh you get 5 minutes warning that your leaving' just joking then he started getting rude so she kept saying 'does he come with subtitles???' to lighten the mood and have a joke (I wouldnt dare say that but then I am over cautious) anyway she was only joking. He then said if she were his sister he would (holding up fingers as though in a gun) bang bang her, I could tell he was being serious so tried to laugh it off by saying 'thats rude and besides you have a wife' he said no I would shoot her with a gun!!!
Now me being extremely sensitive (started new medication for my PCOS which is giving me huge hormone surges and reducing me to tears at any given moment) has been really upset by this. To the point that I burst into tears after work today because I just think this is rude, you dont say that about anyone even if it was a joke.
She wasnt bothered and said that at the end of the day we have both been in controlling relationships with foreign people and realised just how demanding the OH can become, and said she would never change for a man. My OH said that she had to respect the brother in law as this is his terratory (OH's sister and brother in law only moved out last month after living with OHs mum for a few years even though married for 2 years now) but I said he should respect her as were are in England and he has to deal with women being loud and joking and basically not following in the mans stride.
Anyway sorry starting to go on now, but this really upset me.
But spoke to my best mate about it today who took me out 4 lunch at work and spoke to OH and OHs mum who said my sis can fight for herslef but he was out of order.
Anyway I was given a huge cuddle from my OH (who normally just doesnt know what to do when I burst into tears for no reason) and told to not worry because he loves me.
Because of all this PCOS emotional surge thing and because my contract finished at work as I couldnt commit to permenant because of midwifery in sept, but I really loved the job, anyway he booked a holiday for us and is taking me away in sep to Greece. And my best friend is also doing the same bless him, he's taking me away to greece too at end of august for my birthday and christmas present combined. Plus my parents are taking me and my two sisters (my brother wants to stay home as he's got some gigs) to France in July too as last time they went I was in a very controlling relationship and wasnt allowed.
Anyway so I have realised that I am extremely lucky to have an amazing family OH and best friend who all really love me, and even if some stupid person cant cope with English women and thinks we should all shrink away and so has to be rude to my family, its ok because he will never have the support I have from the people around me.

Phew that took soo long to write, and wel done to anyone who has actually read that lol. But yeh I am a happy bunny now, and I start my course in September with three holidays before hand what could be better???

yeh I know, so lucky to be taken away three times, will put me on got the three years I believe!!!!

You'll definitely be ready to go seen as your mind will be relaxed while on holiday enjoy it and make the most of it. I was thinking about going on 2 holidays but thought i was being greedy so i'm just gonna go to the one

Glad you have that love and support and lucky you having loads of holidays, if you cahnge your mind about one of them at all, can I have it??

hehe, I am sure you could come in my suitcase smwife (or maybe in my student midwife bag hehe I bet that would be a winner of pimp your bag having the one and only smwife hiding in it to go on hol haha)
Yeh some people are just bang out of order and in my eyes will never be a family member!
