Default Stitched up by my children!!

My sons are proving they are smarter then me today by stitching me up with their smart replies!

1st, youngest DS (2 1/2 yrs) when asked by his dad for his full name cheerfully obliged with 'Kisstofer John Fillis' (close enough) so I decided it was perhaps time I taught him our address also in case of emergency (you never know!) so I asked 'Do you know where you live?' 'Yes' 'So can you tell me where you live?' Smart reply: 'In my house!'

Then comes Mr smartypants already acting like a teenage knowitall (age 5)
DS: I would like to have guitar lessons
Me: Well, the guitar is a difficult instrument to start with, how about you ask your teacher if you can learn the recorder at school?
DS: (in full on stroppy mode) NO! I DO NOT want to learn the recorder I want to learn the guitar!!
Me: Well most people do start with something easier like the recorder and learn to read music first, why don't you learn that first and when you can read music we will see about guitar lessons
DS: Well i already know all that already and I can read music!
Me: So you know what a crochet is do you?
DS: Yes!
Me: and do you know what a quaver is?
DS: That's a crisp!! (in a well d'oh how mental are you tone).

my 4 yr old was in the bath a while ago and my DH said to him:

dh: come on then, you've got 5 minutes left (held out his hand with 5 fingers up)
ds: (looks confused) err, daddy, hold out your other hand a second... no, like that hand...(waits)
dh: [holds up other hand and looks at it all concerned], 'why?'
ds: There! see, now i've got 10 minutes! (as the other hand was still hovering during this enactment!)

cheeky mite!! up until this time he had never done anything like this -and tbh it was a surprise he knew that 5+5=10. we are a little bit more 'alert' to this now!

actually, just today he was saying 224 224 224 over and over, i asked him what on earth he was doing and he said 'durrr 2+2 is 4, don't you know that yet mummy!' that told me!
