Lightbulb Hello Student Midwife here I come

Hello Everyone,

I have been accepted at the Middlesex University to start in September 08. I am currently on the access to Health Studies at Thames Valley University.

I am doing my second semester and am finding the assignments a bit intense right now. Does not help that my youngest is off Nursery with Chicken Pox and I cannot get any studying done.

Any tips I have two essays due in on Monday do you think I should ask for an extension and will this effect my other essays coming up ???

Thanks

Hello Tanya, welcome to SM.net!!

Congrats on getting your place at uni!!

Have you got anyone that can get your youngest out of the house for a few hours? or possibly do it in the evenings. I know it's tough when they are poorly, mine had chickenpox at the start of uni, when we were also moving house!

You can get an extension, but I did for an essay and can't get hold of the result now. College should be ok though, I would ask your tutor if this is ok and how it will affect your studies.

Hi Tanya,

Welcome to the site, congratulations on your place. Good luck with getting your work finished, it must be tough with little ones that are poorly.

Hey Tanya

Welcome! Thats what extensions are for! You wont be penalised for it and will usually have to complete a mitigating circumstances form/extension form outlining your reasons for requesting an extension. They like you to request the extension in advance of the submission date, so dont ask on the day!

Hope lil one feels better soon,

J
