I agree, if everyone goes into midwifery so positive and friendly to each other, when it's so tough just to break into it, why change to bitchyness once you're qualified, and stress of the job is really no excuse for that sort of thing.

I think you are doing a wonderful job with this site Josie. I'd heard so much about it before I joined I couldn't believe it when I saw you hadn't long started it, I'd assumed it had been going for years!

I think there's allot of competitiveness in midwifery - and also some people just become jaded, - i mean when you're working your arse off running round like a headless chicken trying to get everything done (bloods, checks, discharges, and paed/meds review) at once and there's one midwife who spends the whole shift sat on her arse talking rubbish and looking on ebay people are bound to get bitchy.

I'm usually very calm but when that happens i wanna hurt that midwife! lol
