Default Newbies... Please read!

First of all welcome!

Secondly... Would you be interested in joining our student mentor program? We're struggling to find suitable student mentors from a few universities in the UK.. Would you be willing to give some of your time to help new applicants and new students settle in? Show them the ropes? Recommend places to visit/eat/study in your area? General chat, tea, cake and socialising?

If you are interested in becoming a mentor, or even looking for a mentor... please visit our student mentor scheme http://www.studentmidwife.net/studen...mentor-scheme/

Welcome aboard

Noo

Hello,

After changing my majors more times than I'd like to admit, I believe my calling is in Midwifery. I start taking my first science classes this fall. Once I'm done, I get to apply to the program and hopefully all goes well.

Welcome, Girls.

Why not take a look around to give you more of an idea of what the course entails... Where you'd like to go etc.

Squishie, are you in the US?

hello everyone,

I am currently trying to gain access to Midwifery through the 78week course and would be very interested in hearing from anyone else entering via this route.

Very interesting website by the way!

Hi everyone..like squishie, I've also changed my major and schools many times..I really want to do midwifery and I should have gone for it from the beginning, it's always been in the back of my head. Anyways, I would like to go in Holland..are there any programs there that teach in English? Or if I do a distance learning from a school in the US, they told me I could be anywhere in the world..is it easy to find midwives willing to take on an apprentice while she is taking online courses to learn the basics? Has anyone ever done this or even heard of it? It's hard for me to find info on midwives in Holland because all the sites are in Dutch...

Hi one and all,What a fantastic site, very helpful and inspiring. I completed my access course this summer, really enjoyed it. I'm applying for Midwifery at Bournmouth next year. I don't leave my current job (RN) until May 09 therefore I have to wait, still it gives me time to really get stuck into my personal statement etc. I've got loads of helpful tips from people posting, so thanks to everyone.I'll keep you posted on my progress....
