Hey

My name's Rachel, I just joined today, I'm 17 and just finishing my first year of college (thank you God!) I'm currently studying Psychology, Sociology and Forensic Science...nothing to do with Midwifery!

However, after showing an interest in the subject around various people, i've been encouraged into it and people seem to think its the perfect job for me. (Strange since i've never had a baby anywhere close to my life up until a few months ago!)

Anyway, somehow I found a love of babies and the whole reproductive world (birth included...) and i'm excited to say that i'm looking to apply in September to start in 2009.

I'm currently wandering around the forum for help with my personal statement so thats what i'll be working on over the next few weeks, anyway, i'm glad i found this site, everybody seems so nice in all the threads, its great to be here!!
