Hi, The deliveries are not all catches, but I have been able to be a doula at all those births, some of them are catches,
Being a doula is a great way to learn although they do not recognize doulas in NZ. What midwifery training are you doing? You might want to check if they will except that here. I still have to do a lot of NZ training after the US training. I have been really lucky having several midwifes as friends. Otherwise it would have been extremely difficult to be a doula here.

Mieke, hello! I am doing the midwife-to-be program, also, though I am in America. I still haven't been able to find a midwife to apprentice with (i'm starting to realize it's a pretty tight community and is hard to break into). I am working as a doula though and am hoping that it won't be too long now!

Welcome, Mieke! Hope you're enjoying your training so far. Would be facinating to know what your training entails and how it differs from the training in the UK
