Default I'm a newbie!

Hi everyone, I'm new to the site, as I've only just discovered it. I'm looking to apply to Glamorgan and possibly Cardiff for the 2009 entry. I've got most of my ucas form sorted but have the dreaded personal statement. I'm 24, have no experience, e.g. my own kids and am a little frightened that it's going to take me 5 attempts plus to get in!!! If anyone has any advice, that would be great. Vic x

Heya Vic, welcome to sm.net!

I've got very little experience, but have a look at the educational threads, and many others, you'll learn loads! Hopefully it won't take you 5 attempts! Good luck with your application, hope you enjoy the forum

Hi Vic, and welcome to SMNet. Definitely worth having a look at the applications section; there's plenty of info on there about writing a cracking PS!

Try not to worry too much about the experience side of things - as long as you show that you've got a thorough understanding of the role and you're up to date with current events, the fact that you've no experience won't matter at all.

I'm sure it won't take you 5 attempts to get in! Good luck and if you need any help with the PS, let me know! All the best,

Clare X
