Talking Hiya..Im new too

Hi everyone I'm Elaine.

At the moment I'm off work full of flu I need help!!! I am plagued by midwifery...I thought about applyng for 2009 but talked myself out of it but it's come back again. I can't stop thinking about it and it's drivin me crazy

Right, I am a single mummy of 2 (3&4) from Prestatyn in North Wales and so want to apply for Bangor 2010 but have so so many questions and issues about the whole 'becoming a student'.

I have so many questions about being a Bangor student midwife and wonder if any Bangor students could email me? pretty please.

I know all of us newbies feel the same....my head is full of midwifery stuff it hurts !!!

Speak soon I hope

Elaine x

Hi Elaine, welcome to SMNet!

There are definitely quite a few Welsh girlies on here so hopefully they'll be along soon to help you out.

Meanwhile, have a browse around and give us a shout if you've got any problems or questions. Good luck!

Hi Elaine,
Warm welcome to the site
Hope you are feeling better soon!
I'm not applying to Bangor but I'm sure there will be lots of advice here for you from those who are.
Good luck with your application

Hi welcome to the site, Im not studying in Bangor, in Swansea, but, I have two young children 2 and 4 and it is do-able I do have a fairly helpful OH but we dont get any financial help over the bursary, so cannot afford childcare, have to juggle between mother in law and my dad the bursary as you probably know is the full 6400 in wales non means tested, any my point is that you would prob get dependants allowance and 85% of your childcare costs paid for so please dont think that it will not be possible....where there is a will there is a way!
Good Luck x
