Smile A big hello.. and a short introduction

Hi all,
This is my first visit here - shame I didn't find you all sooner!

I am a third year student midwife studying in North London and placed at The Royal Free Hampstead. I have about 8 months to go and I'm starting to feel a little nervous now .

I am married with three girls the eldest 20 and the youngest 8.

I suppose I have enjoyed the training so far, although the stress of studying and bringing up a family has been tough and I have felt like quitting at times. But as you can see I am still here and going strong.

I am taking a short break from writing 2 essays due in next week one on 'ethics' and one on 'the cascade of intervention', interesting, but to be honest I'd rather be shopping!!

Oh well back to work - nice to meet you all

Cinders X

Welcome Cinders!

Congrats on almost getting there!

Hi Cinders and welcome to the site.

Congratulations on getting nearly to the end of the course, I am only at the beginning of my first year, and I can't believe how much work they throw at you in such a short space of time

Hello there Cinders, I know what you mean about shopping, you sound as organised as me when it comes to essays haha, I'll do anything (even the ironing) rather than do my work, good luck with everything, and I hope you get it all done on time.

Hi Cinders nice to see another mature student. Just wanted to let you know I too am a mother of three (9 to 17 yrs) and can relate to all the juggling. I am studying in Aberdeen, Scotland. I am in my second year and just handed in my Law & Ethics module assignment. Going out to placement this week and can't wait to get a breather from all the academic stuff!
