Description: Women's and Children's Health Directorate Midwifery Manager - Community Services Band 8a £36,112 - £43,335 p.a. Full Time We are looking for a dynamic experienced senior midwife/manager to lead the community based midwifery service. The maternity service is able to offer choice of lead professional and place of birth and last year nearly 1000 women gave birth under the care of the midwife. Our home birth rate is currently 7% and rising. The community service has recently undergone a restructuring with the appointment of team leaders, and whilst the service remains General Practitioner attached midwives are encouraged to work with their colleagues in providing a flexible service that meets the needs of women. You will also manage the specialist midwives and the two midwife led units; Brook ward, a stand alongside unit at the hospital and the Gilchrist birthing unit at Eye.
