Midwives reject Government pay offerThe Royal College of Midwives (RCM) Governing Council have today voted to reject the Government's pay offer. The original offer in March 2007 was a staged 2.5% award, with a 1.5% increase from November 2007 and a further 1% in April 2008. In real terms this amounts to a 1.9% below inflation pay award.
