NHS Trusts must pull fingers out on maternity services say midwivesResponding to the publication of the King's Fund report, 'Safe Births: Everybody's Business' today (Friday 29 February) Louise Silverton, Deputy General Secretary of the Royal College of Midwives, said: "This report is welcome because it places the safety of the mother and baby where it should be, and that is right at the heart of care. The key issue is that the report recognises that the UK is still one of the safest places in the world in which to give birth. More... HAVE YOUR SAY!
