Responding to the release today (14th April) of the Fatherhood Institute's report "The Dad Deficit: The Missing Piece of the Maternity Jigsaw" and its 12-point action plan, Janet Fyle, professional policy advisor, of the Royal College of Midwives, said: "Midwives are women's advocates. They will continue to serve and promote the interests of mothers and babies so that women have a positive outcome to their pregnancy and birth.
