Default Help pretty please?

Can someone please tell me if I have worded the following sentence correctly for my assignment?

Thanks

In their guidelines issued in 2003 NICE suggest that pregnant women consume no more than one standard unit of alcohol per day. They state that a single measure of spirits, one small glass of wine, and half a pint of ordinary strength beer, lager or cider constitutes one unit of alcohol.

I would change it slightly as follows;

NICE guidelines (2003) suggest that pregnant women consume no more than one standard unit of alcohol per day. They state that a single measure of spirits, one small glass of wine, and half a pint of ordinary strength beer, lager or cider constitutes one unit of alcohol.
