Default ? learning triangle

I am trying to incorporate this 'learning triangle' into an evaluation of how I learn on placement.
I'm not sure exactly what it is called, but it explains how we learn, ie. if we listen to something we remember x % and if we actually do something we remember it much better. Has anyone else heard of it?

No never heard of it but I do actually remember things better after Ive done it rather than listening about it, which I'm sure is the same for a lot of people. For example I could listen to midwives pap on all day about how to suture but until I had a go myself nothing really sunk in! You would probably find stuff on that in psychology books maybe??

Hi, I haven't heard of the learning triangle but I have just had to write a paperon adult learning styles and there is quite a lot of info out there about learning through hearing/ seeing/doing. A few of the online resources that I used were- http://www.personalitypathways.com/type_inventory.html

http://www.wilderdom.com/experientia...rningCycle.htm

http://www4.ncsu.edu/unity/lockers/u...dir/styles.htm

I hope that I am not being patronising, perhaps you already know all of this or perhaps I am totally off the mark but I just thought that I may be able to help.

That looks like a great help, I think I've heard of it , is it a chinese man/philosopher type that came up with it?
Something like-read it forget it
See it-remember it
Do it-you've learnt it
Or have I just made that lot up??
Haha knowing me yeah, but this works for me.
