Default Just a quick question (yes, another one!!!!)

I am gathering the information I need before starting my next assignment, but I can only seem to find/access the positives on skin to skin contact and APGAR scores.

As I understand it you are supposed to include the for and against in an assignment, so, is it ok to just say that you can't find any negatives, or do you HAVE to find them somehow?

I am lost on this, and don't want to fail again because I am only focusing on one side of the issue.

Hope that makes sense, I know what I mean

here are refs i promised from your other thread. The AAP state the use of an expanded APGAR score, so there is an argument against it's use there. The wickham ref is also here for you to search out (think you can get it online).
Not a lot against skins to skin, so its ok not to argue against it in that one instance i think......

For the skin to skin, I would mention that it is not always possible. Example, massive PPH, a c/s under general anaesthetic etc. However, although skin to skin is ideal immediately after delivery, it is still beneficial at any time!

Good point, thanks LittleMissT,

I will make sure I mention that, I have already found an article on skin to skin with Dad's, so that will lead in nicely to that.
