Thanks for all your help SMP, that is great advice, and I will make a note of the points you have suggested, I hadn't thought of many of them.

Hi, I have only had one of my mw friends respond but some of them are a bit slow at getting back to me on most things.

she says - if baby is unwell, mum has an infection ie: Hep/ HIV then baby should be cleaned up first and check baby's temp if mum has a temp.

Not much but might give you some ideas.

I have just had another email come through

.She has said more or less the same - HIV baby needs to be cleaned and psychological state. Indian culture - don't BF until milk comes in and they rest for 7 days.

I will email if more come in.

Hi midwifemissy, a couple more ideas have been emailed to me - what about if there is a possible hx of abuse - childhood or otherwise and also post traumatic symptoms following a difficult birth.
